Thaine H. Allison, Jr.
Actor, writer, filmmaker, economist, and lifelong storyteller, Thaine H. Allison, Jr. brings an unusually broad range of life experience to his work on stage and screen.
Early Life & Education
Thaine grew up on a small farm in the San Fernando Valley, surrounded by people from “the business.” He later moved to Northern California, where he finished high school and attended college while working in agriculture.
After graduating from Chico State, Thaine headed to Borneo as one of the first Peace Corps volunteers. Following his return home, he pursued advanced study at Colorado State University, Washington State University, and the University of California, Riverside.
Economist & Creative Artist
As a professional economist, Thaine built a long career in research, teaching, public speaking, and community development, working both in the United States and abroad.
Alongside his professional career, he continued to develop his artistic and creative interests through poetry, short stories, and photography.
Acting & Filmmaking
In recent years, Thaine returned to his first love: acting. His performance work spans stage, film, and television.
He has appeared in supporting and leading roles in sixteen feature films and seventy short films. His work behind the camera has included producing, writing, co-starring, and directing a short film, a documentary, and an animated film. He has also served as a producer on an online talent show for the past six years.
